Coupeville Lions Club
On A Mission To Serve. It's that simple, and it has been since the first Lions Club began in 1917. The Coupeville Lions Club, which was chartered in 1938, is a place where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improve our community, and the world. Lions Club Emblem. The two Lions, one facing the past learning from past accomplishments, the other Lion facing the future to see what we may yet accomplish. Proud of the past, confident of the future. Lions Club Colors. Gold, purple (blue). As a Lions Club member, purple stands for loyalty to country, friends, oneself and to the integrity of mind and heart. Purple is the traditional color of strength, courage and tireless dedication to a cause. Gold symbolizes sincerity of purpose, liberality in judgment, purity in life and generosity in mind, heart and purpose towards mankind. |

Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF)
International Association of Lions Clubs headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, is an organization of distinct, independent, service clubs, such as the Coupeville Lions Club. Founded in 1917, Lions Clubs International is one of the oldest service club organizations in the world. It is the largest and the most active, community service organization in the world. It is an organization whose basic cause has bound Lions clubs together for generations. There are now more than 46,000 Lions Clubs and 1,400,000 Lions located in 210 countries and geographic areas worldwide. In hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and eyeglass recycling centers, Lions are doing community volunteer work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because Lions Clubs are local, Lions serve the unique needs of the communities they live in. And because Lions International is global, Lions can address challenges that go beyond borders. LIONS' MISSION
To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.
